Energy Safety Canada

ESC lives and breathes safety so Canada’s oil and gas industry can live and work safely. With roots dating back to 1949, ESC was created by industry for industry with a single purpose to improve safety throughout Canada’s oil and gas industry.

ESC is a not-for-profit and registered charity and this status allows the organization to reinvest any revenues back into health and safety programs and resources dedicated to advance safety in Canada’s oil and gas industry. ESC is governed by an independent Board of Directors that represents all sectors of the Canadian oil and gas industry.

As the hub for safety and with diverse alliances, ESC creates ready-made resources to help keep workers safe, reduce unnecessary costs and, ultimately, improve safety performance.

PetroLMI, a division of ESC, is the leading source for labour market information and trends in Canada's energy industry.
